The Health Insurance Act stipulates that claims for assigned Medicare benefits
must be lodged with Medicare Australia within two years of the service
being provided. This means that services older than two years cannot normally be processed through the Ezyclaim system or Eclipse.
An application for an extension of this limit can be made via an Application
of Late Lodgement form.
