Bowen Therapy
Information on Recognition
In order to obtain recognition as a Bupa Australia Recognised provider, for Bowen Therapy benefit payment purposes, the applicant will:
- Have completed a Diploma in Bowen Therapy at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO). (Applicants without an Australian Registered Training Organisation qualification must have their current competencies assessed by a RTO to determine equivalency.)
- The following courses meet these minimum requirements:
- 21620VIC Diploma of Bowen Therapy
- 51818 Diploma of Bowen Therapy
- 51816 Advanced Diploma of Bowen Therapy
- 51559 Diploma of Bowen Therapy
- Any educational qualifications attained by distance only learning will not be recognised.
- Meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements.
The following associations are considered a professional association which meets the requirements of rule 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008 for Bowen Therapy provider recognition purposes.
