Information on Recognition

Benefits are available for dietary treatment where provided by a qualified dietitian in private practice, who is a registered and financial ‘full’ member with the Dietitian Association of Australia in the State and Territory in which they are practising, and has APD (Accredited Practicing Dietitian) status. Applicants must obtain a provider number from Medicare Australia who will then notify all health funds of the provider number and the relevant practice information.
