Myotherapy
Information on Recognition
In order to obtain recognition as a Bupa Australia Recognised provider, for massage benefit payment purposes, the applicant will:
- Have completed an Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO). (Applicants without an Australian Registered Training Organisation qualification must have their current competencies assessed by a RTO to determine equivalency.)
- Any educational qualifications attained by distance only learning will not be recognised.
- The following courses meet these minimum requirements:
- 21920VIC Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage (Myotherapy)
- 21511VIC Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage (Myotherapy)
- Meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements.
The following associations are considered to be a professional association which meets the requirements of rule 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008 for Myotherapy provider recognition purposes.
