Naturopathy
Information on Recognition
In order to obtain recognition as a Bupa Australia Recognised provider, for naturopathy benefit payment purposes, the applicant will:
- Have completed an Advanced Diploma or Degree in Naturopathy at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or Australian university (applicants without an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) qualification must have their 'current competencies' assessed by a RTO to determine equivalency),
- where the Advanced Diploma must be either
- HLT60502 Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy
- HLT60507 Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy
- Any educational qualifications attained by distance only learning will not be recognised.
- Meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements.
The following associations are considered to be a professional association which meets the requirements of rule 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008 for Naturopathic provider recognition purposes.
