Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage
Information on Recognition
In order to obtain recognition as a Bupa Australia Recognised provider, for Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage benefit payment purposes, the applicant will:
- Have completed a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage at an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO)1. (Applicants without an Australian Registered Training Organisation qualification must have their current competencies assessed by a RTO to determine equivalency.)
- The following courses meet these minimum requirements:
- HLT50102 Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage (An Mo Tui Na)
- HLT50107 Diploma of Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage (An Mo Tui Na)
- Applicants without an Australian qualification in Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage must have their qualifications assessed by a process approved by Bupa to determine equivalency.
- Overseas degree qualifications must be independently validated and assessed by vetassess to establish equivalency.
- Any educational qualifications attained by distance only learning will not be recognised.
- Meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements.
The following associations are considered to be a professional association which meets the requirements of rule 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008 for Traditional Chinese Medicine Massage provider recognition purposes.
