Western Herbal Medicine
Information on Recognition
In order to obtain recognition as a Bupa Australia Recognised provider, for Western Herbal Medicine benefit payment purposes, the applicant will:
- Have completed an Advanced Diploma or Degree in Western Herbal Medicine from an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or Australian University
- where the Advanced Diploma must be either:
- HLT60102 Advanced Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine
- HLT60107 Advanced Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine
- Any educational qualifications attained by distance only learning will not be recognised.
- Meet the Compulsory Additional Recognition Requirements.
(Advanced Diploma applicants without an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) qualification must have their 'current competencies' assessed by a RTO to determine equivalency)
The following associations are considered to be a professional association, which meet the requirements of rule 10 of the Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008 for Western Herbal Medicine provider recognition purposes.
